About the area	Settled in 1765 , Berlin is a very small rural town, pop 1901 (in 2000). Its neighbors are Stephentown to the south, Petersburgh in the north. Sand Lake and Poestenkill are at the west town line. Berlin is bordered on the east by Berkshire County, Massachusetts. State Rte 22 is the main highway cutting through the town. Berlin encompasses the communities of Berlin, Bucks Corner, Center Berlin and Cherry Plain. Cherry Plain State Park can be found within its limits.
Hours of Operation	Court is in session on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Wed of each month at 7 pm.
Judges	Honorable Walter C Knightes and Honorable John J Greaney preside
Prosecutors	An ADA from Rensselaer County handles criminal matters.
Type Of Cases	Traffic, criminal and small claims. Mostly tickets cited along Rte 22.
