About Ardmore Municipal Court
About the area
Ardmore got its name from Ardmore, PA. Must have been from some Northerners who dropped down for a visit and stayed. It lies right on the border with Tennessee and has a population of only about 1200. It was actually named by the Louisville and Nashville Railroad company whose selection of the location for a station gave rise to settlement of the town in the early 1920’s. The median family income in Ardmore is below the median family income in the U.S.
