Each July the Clark County Fair is held at the county fairgrounds in Ashland. This fair, which concludes with the Annual Clark County Rodeo, also includes the annual softball tournament, a cow/calf class, bred heifer class, and first calf heifer class as well as a donation barbeque. The airport at Harold Krier field, with its two runways each over 3100 feet in length, only a short distance from the fairgrounds is a good place for those coming to the fair in their lightaicraft to land.
