About the area

The Town of Florida is south of the Mohawk River, opposite the Town and City of Amsterdam. Has some beautiful stretches along the river. Also home to a new distribution center for Target. A sparsely populated area. There is a particularly dangerous intersection on Route 30 about 2-4 miles south of the Thruway where 30 bends left but you can go straight onto another road. People get confused and you can get very serious accidents here.
