Lisbon is a small town next to the Canadian border. The drive to Canada is about a half an hour. Population of Lisbon is about 4,000 people and the annual income combined for a family of three is about 35,700. People here are friendly and ready to help out a neighbor. French Canadian ancestry is common and many people celebrate their traditions. At Christmas time many people eat meat pie or tortiere which is made of potatoes, pork, (sometimes venison), and sage. Another food delight around here is perch in the summer time. Many people fry perch with a breading which they eat with potatoes. If you are looking for some local cuisine try one of the area diners. Ogdensburg is not far.
