About the area
When the Louisville and Nashville Railroad came through the area in the early 1900’s; the Southern Plantation Corporation of Chicago, Illinois founded Robertsdale because of the fertile farmland in the area. The city provides it’s own utilities that include electricity, natural gas, water and sewer services. The Municipal park complex and Garrett park provide softball fields, baseball fields, tennis courts and an all purpose field for soccer and youth football.
