Snead Courthouse

This is a small town; less than 900 people live here. A large part of the population is made up of senior citizens. The first settlement and businesses were established in the 1850’s. The first industry was a flour and grist mill build a general store which sold dry goods, feed, seed, fertilizer and food items. The town was organized as a municipality in the 1960’s and althogh home industries have moved into the area little growth has taken place.
