About the area
Like many of the areas in these parts which were left with a railroad depot no longer in use; this city has converted its depot into a museum. The Bridgeport Train Depot Museum houses. among other things, local artifacts and railroad memorabilia, and a historical research library. There is a wealth of historical documents to be found in this museum; records that go back to 1807, Bridgeport News issues back to 1891, Post Office records, tax records, business charge account ledgers and War Between the States records.
