Thgis is the place to come for those delicious Satsuma Mandarin oranges. The fruit was first introduced from Japan in the last quarter of the 19th century and the town is filled with the fragrance from their white blossoms in March and April. The city has started an event in Marfch which they hope will become an annual tournament for those who can catch the largest Large Mouth Bass and Spotted Bass, the Annual Cory Landrum Next Generation Tournament. Any and all profits received through donations are placed in the Cory Landrum Scholarship Fund named for this youngster who lost his life at the young age of nineteen.
