Logan County formed back in the late 1830s, is part of the Lincoln Micropolitan Statistical Area with its 31180 inhabitants and more than 615 square miles of territory sharing boundaries with Tazewell, Sangamon, Menard, McLean, Mason, De Witt, and Macon Counties. Named for Dr. John Logan, pioneer physician; this land is home of the Lincoln Christian College and Seminary, which along with Logan/ Mason/ Menard Roe, West Lincoln-Broadwell, and six more school districts carry the education of the 7580 families residing in Logan.
