In the 1850’s, the first settler to the area of LeRoy brought his family to a log cabin he built in the woods just south of the present town. He was soon joined by two other settlers who bought interests in the area and formed the LeRoy Town Company. LeRoy Homecoming is the official town celebration held in late August. Beginning on Friday night with the homecoming football game the festivities continue the next day with events such as the Homecoming Hustle, Parade, Car Show Carnival, Horse Pull, BBQ Dinner, and Dance with Live Band, Carnival, Quilt Show, Baby Contest, Lip Sink & Talent Contest, Archery Contest, Pizza Eating Contest, Grease Pig Chase, and Hot Rod Tractor/Truck Pull.
