Eastern Hampshire District Court
Eastern Hampshire District Court
P.O. Box 1490 (Route 202)
Belchertown, MA 01007
We think the Court used to be in Hadley, which was established under the Congregational religion. Here farmers were given acreage on the river. They were able to plow out their plots of land and grow crops. The farmers were eventually able to raise funds for a town government, town hall, and community area. Years after establishment they were able to build a mill where many people worked. Their main cash crop was corn and the mill was used to ground the corn into meal. The website for Hadley is a great resource to learn more about these facts. But the court moved to Belchertown a couple years ago. We’re a little slow on the uptake.
Might get some I-91 speeding tickets in Hadley Traffic Court.
