The Circle M Plantation in Macon includes fields offering whitetail deer, Bobwhite quail, and Eastern wild turkey hunting, making it one of the best hunting sites in the South. The center of this plantation is a restored antebellum home which is on property established as a working cotton plantation more than 150 years ago. There are cottage-style lodges, a game room and dining area, and a saloon here. During a recent renovation; a hidden vaulted wine cellar and liquor closet that served owners and guests during the prohibition era was discovered.
