Malden Municipal Court

As you enter the Malden Historical museum you will come upon an area decorated with period furnishings and displaying period clothing. THe museum has a large collection of period garments and accessories on display. Other exhibits contain memorabilia from World War I and World War II and surgical instruments used by doctors during the Civil War. An unusual exhibit here is the Dennis Collection of Egyptian Antiquities. There is also a collection of Indian pottery, baskets, dolls, arrow heads and ceremonial headdresses. The Southeast Missouri Room has on display an artist’s painting of a dredge boat in operation draining the swamp land and a model of a dredge boat used to dig drainage ditches in the East swamp. The Malden Army Airfield Preservation Society museum at the former Malden Army Airfield has exhibits of military uniforms, memorabilia and displays from Malden Army Airfield, Malden Air Base, Anderson Air Activities and other branches of the military service.
