Springfield is the third largest city in Missouri and has many attractions. One of them is the Air & Military Museum of the Ozarks where you can take a simulated ride in a real Cobra helicopter and see restored vintage military equipment. The museum owns over 5,000 pieces of military history such as a Cobra helicopter, a T-33 jet aircraft, Army Jeeps, trucks and other military equipment. The museum engages in several projects such as the restoration of vintage military equipment and operating the Museum School program for young students. The Bill Roston Native Butterfly house with a large variety of native caterpillars and butterflies provides a close-up look at the stages of a butterfly’s lives.
