Stafford holds an annual festival to celebrate Old Route 66 in May along the the downtown area of Strafford from which you can see the famous road. This event has a classic car and antique tractor show, tractor pull, crafts fair, games and rides for the whole family, good food, live music, a “kid zone,” and the Route 66 Museum which is held for one day. Residents have three parks for their recreational use. The Strafford Sports Complex, just East of town, has four baseball fields. Howard Smith Community park is equipped with pavilions, playground equipment, several charcoal grills, a walking track and a “sprayground” for children. Croxdale Park has a pavilion, a playground and plenty of trees.
