The Governor Thomas C. Fletcher House, circa 1850, has been restored and retains many of its original furnishings. The home is on the National Register of Historic Places. From time to time special quilts are displayed in the house and are for sale. Sandy Creek Bridge built around 1872 is one of three historic Howe Truss bridges in Missouri. It was destroyed by high water around 1886 and rebuilt in the same year. The Hillsboro Homecoming Festival also is a street fair with a parade, live music, art exhibits, games, food and rides as well as a golf tournament.
