Bonne Terre owes much of its early development to its location in the Viburnum District what was at one time the largest lead belt in the world. If you visit Bonne Terre City Park, you will be able to enjoy the city’s Olympic size swimming pool as well as the tennis courts, picnic tables, barbeque pits, gazebo, restrooms and playground equipment that are located there. Lakeview park has a pavilion, a lighted walking path around the lake, several docks for relaxing and fishing and a loading ramp for small boats. Bicentennial park is basically an open area. Dairy Field is a baseball park with diamonds for City League baseball and softball.
