Bellerive Acres Municipal Court

Some settlers purchased a large portion of the area of Normandy so that around 1884 a few landowners owned all the land that is now the Normandy school district. When 1895 arrived all the land in Normandy which lay along the the railway lines had been subdivided and put up for sale except for one large estate. The junction of Natural Bridge road and Florissant road served as the start of Normandy. The automobile, public railroad systems and paved road led to the development of new areas in the city. The University of Missouri main campus lies between Normandy and Bel-Nor. The Hunt house, known as “The Shelter” and the Hardy are two of the century old house that still remain in Normandy.
