The Brentwood Historical society is housed in the Barlow House where you can see its collections of photos, newspaper articles, yearbooks and personal and official records which provide details of the history of Brentwood. The annual Brentwood celebration with its carnival rides, petting zoo and local booths is held in September at Brentwood park. This park has a lighted baseball field with brick dugouts, softball fields, a batting cage, soccer fields and a small playground area. The city has a recreation complex within which there is an ice rink, fitness room, locker rooms and meeting rooms as well as several other parks. One of these, Memorial park, has a roller-hockey rink and the Parcourse fitness circuit as well as trails which lead into quiet wooded areas.
