Rogersville Municipal Court

Around 1882 it was expected that the Kansas City and Memphis Railroad would be erecting a depot in the area where Rogersville now exists. A young physician offered to donate money to defray the cost of surveying, laying out lots, and building streets if the settlement was named in his honor. His offer was accepted however Rogersville was incorporated as a village until approximately 34 years later and then again as a fourth class city around 1948. The Ozark Raceway park in this city operates from Spring to Fall with an exciting schedule of drag races.
