Routes 35 and 71 carry a fair amount of traffic into this borough of 5000 people. The now ‘Higgins Avenue’ was once upon a time the entry point to this borough, but was overshadowed by the rapid development of Route 35. Plans are on to make Higgins Avenue a safe and a beautiful entrance to this community by the river, thereby making it the ‘Gateway to Brielle’. Plus you’ve got golf, water, and even the nearby Glimmer Glass Bridge.
