Franklin borough is home to nearly 5300 people. Attractions include Franklin Pond, Walkill Country Club and Black Bear Golf Club. Franklin is called the Fluorescent Mineral Capital of the World as the soil is rich in many minerals, quite a few of which seem to glow. Routes 23, 517 and 631 pass through the borough. Rt 94 is nearby too.
