About Socorro County Magistrate Court
About the area
Socorro, the County Seat with a population of about 10,000 is the home of the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Once part of Mexico, then Texas and recently El Paso wanted to annex it, but failed. It is a thriving community with hiking, camping and picnicking opportunities galore.
