About the area
Town is between Conesus Lake and Hemlock Lake. Hemlock, you may remember, is best known for its connection to Greek philosopher Socrates. His most prominent line: I drank what? The former Conesus Amusement Hall, well over 100 years old, is an architecturally interesting structure (to those who find architecture interesting), listed in the National Register of Historical Places. It is also the current Conesus Town Hall & Court.
