Farmingdale Village Court

The village of Farmingdale is located with the the Town of Oyster Bay, which is also in Suffolk County. The community truly took form once the Long Island Railroad set up shop in Farmingdale with placement of a station (now also a historical landmark) in 1841. At that time it was called Hardscrabble until 1845. Farmingdale is a quaint village with many little shops and services available in the main business district. There is also a very nice bike path which begins at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, passing through the Massapequa Preserve parallel to Bethpage State Parkway and terminates at Brady Park in Massapequa Park. Rollerbladers, walkers and joggers are also welcome in the park.
