About the area
The City of Schenectady was the home of General Electric. Like many upstate cities, industrial decline and suburban flight have left the city in a difficult position. Recent economic development efforts create some hope. The Union College area is doing well.

Hon. Guido Loyola (is he still there?), Hon. Matt Sypniewski, and Hon. Mark Blanchfield - all good people.
Prosecutors
Schenectady DA’s office handles most cases in the City Court. We’ve heard that traffic cases cannot be resolved by mail, unlike the rest of the county. Hopefully that will change. Always makes you comfortable to have court in the police station.
