Gabriel Johnston; served by Smithfield city as its county seat and beating heart of the commercial activities of this territory full of lovely recreational parks such as Clemmons Educational State Forest and Howell Woods Environmental Learning Center. Smithfield is a very quiet land, home of more than 12200 people presenting a racial makeup where more than 6/10 of the population is White Non Hispanic, while the other 4/10 is constituted by African Americans, Native Americans, Asians, and located racial groups residing all together in North Carolina’s Inner Banks region.
