Moore District Court

Named after a man of the American Revolutionary War (Alfred Moore), this territory part of the Triangle J Council of Governments, was previously inhabited by the Siouan tribes and several archaelogical excavations have proven the existence of a very extensive community of Native Americans who made this territory their home for decades more than 400 years ago. Moore County is located near Chatham, Lee, Montgomery, Randolph, Richmond, Cumberland, Harnet, and Hoke Counties having ten townships, and thirteen cities on its map.
