Nash County Court

This territory honored the efforts and courage of Gen. Francis Nash naming Nash County after him. Located in the Rocky Mount metro area and member of the regional Upper Coastal Plain Council of Governments, this land is today home of more than 90700 people and it is the neighbor of Halifax, Wake, Wilson, Franklin, Edgecombe, and Johnston Counties. If you want to have a better panorama of the culture and races present in this territory, it is important to point that only 5% of the population reports German ancestry, along with 5% of the residents reporting Irish ancestries; which presents a racial makeup where more than 30% of the population is African American, and approximately 8% is constituted by Native American, Asian, Pacific Islander, Hispanic, and other races residing in this community.
