This is where the Cuyahoga River descends fully with its mighty force and right at the junction is Cuyahoga Falls city. So the falls on one side of the road and the main street of the city with plenty of shopping to do on the other side, what more could one ask for. The funny thing about this place is nobody knows the correct way to say it and each one pronounces it differently. Supposed to be an Indian name and the name means “a hog” as in pig. But in the Native American language it means a crooked river. Despite the name, Cuyahoga Falls is not in Cuyahoga County. It is a suburb of Akron, and not too far from Akron either. The lovely and grand Cuyahoga Valley National Park is in between here and Cleveland.
