About Metolius Municipal Court
About the area
At the beginning of the 20th century wheat farmers from Sherman County began migrating to the riverbanks of the Metolius River, where they could enjoy the cool river environment, when the dry summer heat became uncomfortable. There they could camp and relax by fishing. Today Metolius has a population of under 1000.
