For a great glass of beer and ale you might want to visit Rogue’s brewery here. The brewery also hosts three performances for the Portland Jazz Festival. Frank V. Wade Memorial Park a larger than 8 acre park, in the Northeast corner of the city, has facilities for baseball, softball and tennis as well as a community garden and picnic tables. Something unusual for a city of Newport’s swimming pool. This year-round indoor facility is a 25 yard heated pool with six lanes, a one meter diving board, rope swing, and slide.
