The name Enterprise was chosen at a meeting held on the site of a mercantile company towards the end of the 19th century. The Enterprise Municipal airport, owned by the city of Enterprise. is conveniently located on the Eastern edge of town. It can only handle small aircraft, with its one runway of just over 2800 feet in length.
