The Potts family became the golden rock of this community in Chester County, incorporated back in the 1810s. The members of the “Clan” Potts were iron masters well known in this western region. This territory did not escape from the strong European influence “walking” all over this county, the 18th century witnessed how German and Swedish colonies opened small shops and trail stores in the “New Land across the sea”.
