Tremonton is located South of where the Bear and Malad rivers meet. The Tremont and Shoshoni indians were the first to live in the area and the first homestead to be established here took place around 1888. Tremonton is not a very large town but it has several small parks. Baseball diamonds are located at Jeanie Stevens and North parks and covered picnic tables can be found at North and Meadow parks. Stages, available for reservation, can be found at Jeanie Stevens and Library parks. Programs are offered in a variety of team sports for adults and youngsters. The city plays host to a few community events throughout the year; Tremonton Family day with a Spring Kite festival, Main Street streetfest and Tremonton city days combined with the Pioneer Day celebration at Shuman park. Tremonton’s Movie in the Park and Concert in the Park are held in Shuman park.
