Fountain Green Justice Court

Although Fountain Green only existed as a popular campground for Salt Creek and San Pitch travelers in the 1850’s; families soon started settling there. They were probably drawn by the largest green fountain spring in the Sanpete Valley. The town lies just below the Divide and Mt. Nebo. The annual Lamb Days celebration is held in July and features coed softball tournaments, youth lamb show and judging, a mutton and sourdough dinner, youth talent show, chuckwagon breakfast, craft fair, parade and fireworks. The festival celebrates the local sheep-herding community which engages in an industry which has historically been a popular way to earn a living in Fountain Green.
