Gunnison Justice Court

Gunnison park is the center of the recreational activities of this town with its pavilions each equipped with barbecue, electricity and tables; horseshoe pits and a volleyball area. The park also has a skate park located on its South side and the Gunnison swimming pool at the North end. An outstanding feature in the downtown area of this town is its recently erected clock tower which is about 35 feet high; has four 4-foot diameter illuminated clocks and carillon bells. Each June the Gunnison Valley Dairy Days are held at the Gunnison fairgrounds. Gunnison has the dubious distinction of being the home of the Central Utah correctional facility located at the Northeast corner of the town.
