Rural, friendly, small, clean, and organized are some of the elements to describe this community in Wise County. Ricky Lee Green is without a doubt the most “infamous” former resident of this community nested between Aurora, Rhome, New Fairview, Newark, Briar, Pecan Acres, Paradise, and Reno. Full of American and Irish ancestries; this municipality home of the Boyd Yellowjackets supports its economy thanks to construction, metal products, educational services, finance, and health care industries.
