About the area
The Historic District of Princeton is made up of buildings on both sides of Mercer Street from North 1st Street up to North 4th Street. These buildings are mostly made up of two and three-story 19th and 20th century commercial buildings with storefronts on the first floor and housing in the upper stories. They are constructed in the Commercial, Commercial Italianate, Colonial Revival and Art Deco styles of architecture. The buildings include the Princeton Hotel circa 1910, the Cleaners and Laundry Building circa 1915, the Sively circa 1913 Company Building the Mullins Brothers building circa 1912.
