Residents of New Martinsville and the surrounding areas can advance their careers or education by attending this city’s campus of the West Virginia Northern Community College for courses. Students can earn the Associate in Arts and Associate in Science and Associate in Applied Science degrees. The school also offers Certificate Programs in human services, social work, business administration, accounting, criminal justice and computer information and technology. For selected programs such as paralegal, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy and surgical technology the school only provides core academic coursework for transfer to the school’s Wheeling campus where clinical and specialized program coursework can be completed.
